PORTRAITS
My approach to portraiture is fun, loose, and emphasizes natural
reactions and emotions. While there is often some amount of posing
during a session, I keep the atmosphere casual and prefer to set
up a scene or situation and then take a step back to photograph
things as they unfold, rather than orchestrate every tiny detail
to the point that there is no more spontaneity left. Whether we
are shooting a session at a park, in your backyard, or in a bustling
urban area, I like to let people do what comes naturally in a given
setting. Therefore, The best way to describe what I do is "relaxed
posing". From engagement sessions to family portraits to children
and pets, I believe that a photo subject will show the most personality
if you give them more room to be themselves.
Portrait sessions
are often photographed using available light, but I do occasionally
bring in a portable lighting setup to achieve results that the
great outdoors can't do alone. We will discuss beforehand what
you hope to get out of your session - both for the look of the
photos as well as the finished products you are hoping to have
- and will take it from there.
In addition to family and engagement
portraiture, I also create images for business promotion. Professionals'
head shots, musicians' promotional images, and much more. Contact
